Prep: Things You Should Know About Cann Recipes Before Starting

Cooking with cannabis can introduce you to a whole new world of flavors and experiences. But if you’re new to it, it’s important to be aware of a few things before diving in. Sure, it can be easy to cook with weed, however, understanding the basics can make a difference. For this recipe, you’ll need to consider important things:

1. Decarb the Weed: Decarboxylation is a crucial step in releasing the psychoactive compounds present in cannabis. Without it, you won’t feel the effects of your dish as expected. You can decarb the weed by baking it in the oven for 30-45 minutes.

2. Make CannaButter: Cannabutter is the backbone of most cannabis recipes. You can make it simply by infusing butter with the decarboxylated weed.

3. Dosing Guidelines: Dosage is an essential part of cooking with cannabis. Eating the wrong amount of weed can always result in over or underwhelming effects. For this Cannabis Rice Krispie Treats recipe, we recommend cutting your treats into 12 equal servings. Start with a low dose to find your desired level of effect, and be patient as it takes some time to feel the full effects. Visit our dosing calculator for better results.
